The Traveling Spoon Celebrates Black History Month at RMMFI with Food, Fellowship, and Community

On February 17, 2026, The Traveling Spoon had the pleasure of stopping by Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute (RMMFI) for a special Black History Month celebration filled with delicious food, connection, and community!
Food has always been a powerful way to bring people together, share stories, and celebrate culture. The Traveling Spoon was honored to contribute to this meaningful potluck by providing flavorful dishes that helped create a warm and welcoming space for RMMFI staff, entrepreneurs, and community members to gather.
From the first bite to the last conversation, the celebration was about more than just a meal — it was about honoring Black history, supporting Black businesses, and recognizing the incredible contributions of Black entrepreneurs and leaders who continue to shape our communities.
The Traveling Spoon believes every dish has a story, and every gathering is an opportunity to build relationships. Sharing food with the RMMFI community was a beautiful reminder that entrepreneurship, culture, and connection go hand in hand.
We are grateful to RMMFI for creating spaces where communities can come together, celebrate milestones, and uplift one another.
